Climate Cut is part of the student initiative “Climate Action! Action! Action!” which seeks to engage local community in response to the current global climate crisis. These initiatives allow the public to participate in tangible change, as we investigate how decisions to protect and preserve the planet are made at an institutional and governmental level. At the event, which was originally scheduled for August 30, “climate cuts”were being offered to collect hair donations for Matter Of Trust, an initiative based in San Francisco already in motion to pull harmful oil out of our west coast waters. Due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule and revamped the event to be an online gathering, held on November 30th, 2020.
